Who we are

Hi there - we’re so glad you’re here!

We’re the Evans family, and our roots run deep in the beautiful small town of Oxford, North Carolina.

We are a husband and wife duo - with Cody as our master carpenter/designer; Ashlyn as our brand/marketing gal; our son Miles as Chief Morale Booster; and our Aussie Fen, who is just here for the snacks.

Knots & Notches Woodshop was brought to life in spring of 2025, when Cody leaned fully into his hobby and passion for crafting, building and woodworking, and Ashlyn had left a decade-long Marketing career to be a stay-at-home mom. This created the “perfect storm” for us to put in the work and start our business!

All of our products are handcrafted from ethically and locally sourced North Carolina materials. We can’t wait to help you add a beautiful and timeless piece to you or a loved one’s life!
